Works like a charm. Simple, effective, removed the gears from my blade 180 RC heli motors. The shim is a bit too thick so I needed to push the pinion gear up on the shaft to gain leverage, but otherwise this is the product you should buy - do not buy the weird bulky blue/colored ones labelled: Rc Motor Gear Puller, Professional Tool Universal Motor Pinion Gear Puller Remover for Rc Motors Upgrade Part Accessory (Red) ...if you want to use 180 motors.
